There is a power shell module for backup

Data protection manager, DPM, is a complete backup solution

System state backup is critical services on a server
This includes active directory if we do it on a domain controller for active directory 

We can export the policies with GPM see
DHCP can export using the DH's CP console
DNS can also be exported

Volume shadow copy service VSS allows for hot backups and data consistency
VSS can be used to recover previous versions of a file
We can customize VSS behavior
Just the changed bits are stored for that file

VSS allows any time back up

VSS can be used to recover previous versions of that file
Of file you overwritten  and can get the original copy back

An example of this would be Dropbox

Don't know where the servers are the data is stored on
Benefits IT admin doesn't have to worry about off-site storage or backup disk space etc.

Drawbacks our cost network bandwidth and trust
Examples of software are Microsoft office 365 and Google docs
Dropbox is an example of a public cloud
We can have public private or hybrid clouds
Private cloud is a company deploying internally applications for it's users only
A hybrid cloud would be some private and some public offerings
With cloud computing you can backup off-site via the Internet
One of the questions would be what is the provider doing with the data, are they looking at it

It is not installed by default so it will have to be installed as a feature
Should be able to use tab completion in the power shell command to get the windows feature on to install the windows feature
